In my class we had strawberry field workers for guest speakers. One of the men hadn’t seen his family for 5 years. He worked 12 hours a day. He was proud about what he did. Smiling, he looked out at everyone in the class and in spanish said good job for being at school to accomplish your goals. The next time I am tired waking up for class, upset about a midterm, or having a bad day, I’ll remember what is truly tough because of that man. I’ll remember what my education really means.
